Our Values

Discovering Jesus – Growing in Community – Serving Others

We value Loving & Serving God & Others

Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment (Matthew 22:37-38)

And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39)

We Value God’s Word because Truth matters and is relevant

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work

(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Bible is the non-negotiable foundation and is God’s inerrant, infallible, inspired Word – it is at the heart of all we do. The Gospel message matters because it answers the most profound questions concerning our very existence and future. It is God’s roadmap for life.

We value Radical Hospitality

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God

(Romans 15:7)

We exist to be a place of restoration, refreshment, and renewal. We strive to be a place where we yearn to be in community and everyone can feel welcomed and comfortable to be restored, refreshed and renewed, especially when the world around us is in chaos and doesn’t make sense

We seek opportunities to engage unsaved people and declare the Good News of Jesus Christ. We seek to be an inviting community to meet people where they are and help them find a deep sense of meaning by pointing them to Jesus.

We are Intentional about Spiritual Growth

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42)

A community is a great way to grow spiritually and mature as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We were not designed to do life alone and we do not have to. Followers of Jesus must strive to develop faith and grow in Christ-likeness through Bible study and learning, and God is best able to make disciples when people do this together. We are committed to the process of becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus, who make disciples.

We value prayer. The Bible tells us to be devoted to prayer - praying continually with thanksgiving (Colossians 4:2; 1 Thess 5:17). We are determined to keep Jesus first and seek His will by making prayer the first, last, and most important thing we do because nothing of eternal significance happens outside of prayer. We pray with great expectation.

We value Passionate Worship

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations (Psalm 100)

We gather together in order to lift up the name of Jesus as the center of every aspect of our lives for His Glory. We believe worship connects people to God and one another.

We value Servant Leadership

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45)

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me (Matthew 25:40)

We exist to empower and equip every person to serve out of his or her spiritual gifts and passions to Glorify God. We are all invited into God’s Big Story. We follow the example of Jesus in serving each other and our local community

We value Extravagant Generosity

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:11)

We give generously to the church of our time, talents, and treasures because we genuinely desire to make a positive difference for the Glory of God and His purposes. We believe followers of Jesus should give joyously, generously, and consistently in ways that enrich the lives of others and strengthen the ministry of the church.
